The Cumberland County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council works to reduce juvenile crime in our community by providing community based alternatives and substance abuse programming to decrease training school commitments. This is accomplished by providing funding, technical assistance, and coordination services needed by these programs.

Juvenile Assessment Center -- JAC Web Site

The Juvenile Assessment Center provides prevention and intervention services to youth and their families who have come, or are likely to come, into contact with the juvenile justice system. Partnerships have been established with juvenile justice agencies and youth service providers to work collaboratively with the youth and their families to reduce problem behaviors.

Healthy Opportunities Promoting Education (H.O.P.E.) -- Ramsey Street Middle School (HOPE Program)

H.O.P.E. is a guided growth program that is housed in the Ramsey Street Alternative School. H.O.P.E.  was developed in response to an increasing demand for educational services for students who have been long term suspended from their home school and are involved with the Juvenile Court system.  Students are referred for offenses that include: possession of drugs or weapons, fighting, assault, or other socially unacceptable behavior.

Find-A-Friend  -- Fayetteville Urban Ministry Web Site

The Find-A-Friend guided growth program primarily serves adjudicated youths whose behavior has placed them at risk of court involvement. Youths ages 7 to 17 participate in weekly meetings as well as educational, recreational, and cultural activities.

DSS Group Care Program -- Cumberland Co. DSS Main Web Portal

The Cumberland County Department of Social Services operates two group homes that serve youth that have been adjudicated delinquent or are at-risk of becoming delinquent. The program's objective is to provide a safe and secure environment for youth when an out of home placement is necessary. The program works to redirect the problem behaviors of the youth.

CCMHC Juvenile Court Outreach Program -- Cumberland County Mental Health Main Web Portal

The Juvenile Court Outreach program offers a continuum of services including: psychological evaluations, counseling, intensive home based services and therapeutic home placements. It also provides consultation on mental health issues to Juvenile Court  Counselors, Juvenile Court Judges, attorneys and other community agencies.

Fayetteville/Cumberland County Juvenile Restitution Program

Juvenile Restitution Program is a sentencing alternative for Fayetteville and Cumberland County youth. The program's goal is to teach youth accountability and responsibility for their actions.

Teen Court

Teen Court serves offenders ages 11 through 18 who are charged with Class C citations and nonviolent misdemeanor offenses. Teen court Hearings are held every other Monday evening in the Cumberland County Courthouse.
